Food and drink

There are a number of restaurants at the Vale village, including Infusion, The Melt and the Pizza Shack. We also have an on-site bar, called the Duck & Scholar. Unfortunately we cannot open all restaurants during vacation time, so please enquire which of our catering outlets will be open and closed during your stay.

You are also welcome to use the Park Restaurant and bar, at our bed and breakfast accommodation, which is just a short walk away; or enjoy a range of food and drinks in one of the University’s many cafes and restaurants.

Cancellation Policy

24 hours prior to date of arrival – 2pm the day before, cancellations after this time will be charged at 100%.

Things to do

There are plenty of things to keep you entertained during your stay, both on and off campus.

Why not visit the Barber Institute of Fine Arts with its paintings by Monet, Rubens and Van Gogh; its stunning coin gallery; and its exciting programme of exhibitions, lectures and workshops.

Or you may prefer to while away the spare hours at Winterbourne House and Garden – an Edwardian Arts and Crafts family home, restored to its former glory, nestled within 7 acres of beautiful botanical gardens.

You could even take in a show, whilst you are staying with us – the Bramall is the ideal spot to enjoy an evening of comedy, music or dance.

Alternatively, there is the bustling city centre just on our doorstep, with a whole host of restaurants, shops and attractions.
