Bramall Music Building

The Bramall Music Building containing the Elgar auditorium was opened in June 2012. The building completes the redbrick semi-circle of buildings which have been at the heart of the University since 1909 and serves as an outstanding venue for:

  • conferences and corporate events
  • product launches
  • award ceremonies
  • film and video venue
  • concert and comedy events

The Bramall Music Building hosts a number of public concerts and events, which are listed in full at the University Bramall events page. To book the Bramall for your own concert see our dedicated events promoters page which lists all of the technical details involved in promoting an event in the Bramall.

For full details of our disabled accessibility, see the Bramall Music Building page on the Disabled Go site.

The prestigious BBC debate show, Question Time, was filmed in the Bramall Music Building on Thursday October 3rd 2013 and we captured a time-lapse video of the set being created - which is also an excellent way to showcase the capabilities of the building and stage.
