Attending an event at the Senate Chamber? Then this page will give you all the information you need about your visit.
How to find us
The Senate Chamber can be found at: University of Birmingham, Edgbaston, Birmingham, B15 2TT. For information on getting to the University of Birmingham campus, visit our Find us page.
On arrival at the University of Birmingham campus, you will need to make your way toward the Aston Webb semi-circle of traditional red brick buildings.
The easiest way to do this is to head towards the clock tower, affectionately known as “Old Joe”, which you can easily see from most locations on campus.
When you are at the foot of the clock tower, you will be able to see the Aston Webb semi-circle of red brick buildings directly in front of you, in which the venue is located. The Senate Chamber can be accessed via the large wooden doors.
Guests arriving before 16:30, Monday to Friday, will need to park in the University’s North East Car Park, on Pritchatts Road, B15 2SA. This is a pay and display car park, at the following rates:
- 0 – 1 hour: £2
- 1 – 3 hours: £3
- 3 – 5 hours: £4
- 5 – 8 hours: £6
After 16:30 and at weekends, car parking is available on the University of Birmingham campus and is free of charge. There are plenty of spaces for all visitors, accessible via the University’s East Gate (on Edgbaston Park Road).
